Cheesecake, Chocolate Orange
A very rich cheesecake that improves after 36-48 hours in the fridge

Equipment
Pre-heat Oven to 350°F
Ingredients
- 4 tbsp Unsalted Melted Butter
- 1 ¼ cups Crushed Oreo Cookie Crumbs
- 2 shots Triple Sec Liqueur (about 3 fl. oz)
- 16 oz Cream Cheese (2 bricks)
- 1 cup White Sugar
- 3 Eggs
- 6 oz Orange Flavored Chocolate
- 1 cup Sour Cream
- ¼ cup Candied Orange Zest (Optional)
Procedure
- Stir cookie crumbs into melted butter and press into a pie pan to form the crust.
- Par-bake for 10 minutes at 350°F
- Sprinkle crust with about ⅓ of the Triple Sec and allow to cool
- Melt chocolate in a double boiler, stir in remaining Triple Sec and more butter if necessary
- Mix cream cheese, sugar, eggs, and sour cream until smooth. Combine with melted chocolate
- Pour batter into cooled crust and bake at 350°F until jiggly texture in middle (roughly 40 minutes)
- Refrigerate and garnish with candied orange zest, if desired
