Chocolate Brownies

This is a very basic chocolate brownie recipe that does not use a premade mix. You can also add things like M&M’s or walnuts before baking, or spread icing on top after the brownies have cooled.

Chocolate Brownies

Equipment

Pre-heat Oven to 350°F

Ingredients

  • ½ cup Salted Butter
  • 1 cup White Sugar
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • ⅓ cup Cocoa Powder
  • ½ cup AP Flour
  • ¼ tsp Baking Powder

Procedure

  1. Melt the butter in a mixing bowl and combine sugar, whipping until creamed
  2. When combined, add and mix in the eggs and vanilla extract
  3. Finally, add the flour, cocoa, and baking powder and whisk until consistent
  4. Pour into a greased baking pan and bake at 350° F until the center does not flow when the pan is tilted (do not overbake)
