Devil's Food Cake

Equipment

Pre-heat Oven to 325°F

Ingredients

Dry

  • 1 cup AP Flour
  • ½ tsp Salt
  • ½ tsp Baking Powder
  • 1 tsp Baking Soda
  • ⅓ cup Cocoa Powder
  • 1 cup White Sugar

Wet

  • ½ cup Canola Oil
  • ½ cup Coffee
  • ½ cup Milk
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract

Procedure

  1. Sift together all dry ingredients
  2. Using an egg beater, add all wet ingredients and combine fully
  3. Pour batter into a standard loaf pan and bake at 325°F until middle becomes firm (about 45-60 minutes)
  4. Allow to cool, slice in half and use premade frosting to "glue" the halves together
