Smoked BBQ Pork Ribs

This is a basic dry-rub smoking recipe for pork ribs that does not involve pre-boiling.

Equipment

Pre-heat Smoker to 225°F

Ingredients

  • 1 or 2 Racks, Pork Ribs
  • 2 tbsp Dijon Mustard
  • 3 tbsp Garlic Powder
  • 2 tbsp Onion Powder
  • 2 tbsp Paprika
  • 2 tbsp Black Pepper
  • 3 tbsp Salt

Spritz

  • 1 cup Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 2 tbsp White sugar

Procedure

Preparation

  1. Remove the Pork Ribs from the fridge, pat dry with paper towels and allow it to come to room temperature
  2. Prepare the rub mix by combining all of the dry spices
  3. Rub the Pork Ribs with a thin layer of Dijon Mustard, then sprinkle on the rub mix and pat into the meat
  4. Prepare the Spritz mixture by heating the apple cider, dissolving in the white sugar and then placing the liquid in a spray bottle

Smoking

  1. Smoke the ribs for about 4 to 5 hours, applying the spritz mixture several times.
