Green Bean Casserole
An easy and delicious side dish for Thanksgiving Turkey dinner

Equipment
Pre-heat Oven to 350°F
Ingredients
Fried Onions
- 2 cups Buttermilk
- 1 White Onion Finely Sliced, Rings
- 1 tbsp Salt
- 1 cup AP Flour
- 1 Deep Frying Oil Peanut or Canola
Casserole
- 3 cans Green Beans
- 2 cans Cream of Mushroom Soup
Procedure
Fried Onions
- Slice the Onion using a mandolin slicer on its finest setting
- Place the onion slices in a mixing bowl and sprinkle with salt
- Pour Buttermilk over the onion slices and allow to soak for 15-30 minutes
- Drain excess Buttermilk, then toss individual rings in flour, taking care that they don't clump together
- Fry in hot peanut or canola oil until medium brown
Casserole
- Place Green Beans in casserole dish and pour Cream of Mushroom soup over to coat
- Bake at 350°F for approximately 30 minutes, or until soup is boiling and starting to slightly brown at the edges
- Remove from oven and place the fried onions that were prepared earlier on top. Allow to rest for 10 minutes before serving
